XT Ecostream Series High-Flow External Pond Pump
Teton XT Ecostream Series is a high-performance external centrifugal pump built for large koi ponds, waterfalls, streams, and professional filtration systems.
Installed outside the water for easier access and service, XT Series delivers 3,500 to 8,000 GPH with a fan-cooled enclosed motor, built-in thermal overload protection, and NPT fittings with union connections included. Efficient, serviceable, and built for 24/7 continuous-duty operation — backed by a 2-year warranty.
Features
Fan-cooled enclosed motor — prevents overheating during 24/7 continuous operation without any manual adjustment needed
High-flow centrifugal design — 3,500 to 8,000 GPH for large ponds, waterfalls, streams, and filtration systems
External non-submersible installation — inspect, service, and repair without reaching into the pond
NPT threaded FPT intake & discharge with union fittings included — clean, leak-free connections for easy install and quick-disconnect servicing
Built-in thermal overload protection — automatically guards the motor against burnout under heavy continuous load
Polypropylene wet end & Noryl impeller — corrosion-resistant construction for long-term outdoor durability
Carbon graphite mechanical seal — reliable shaft seal rated for continuous fresh water operation
Permanently lubricated ball bearings — zero bearing maintenance required over the service life
Dual voltage 115V/230V (most models) — flexible for varied site electrical configurations
Installation Guide
The XT Ecostream is a standard centrifugal pump requiring flooded-suction installation — the pump must be installed at or below the pond water level. It is NOT self-priming. If self-priming is required, see the XTP Ecostream Series. Key installation points:
Mount on a flat, solid, stable foundation outside the pond — covered and well-ventilated location is best; motor must not be submerged
Flooded suction required — if installed above water level, a swing check valve must be installed and the pump manually primed before start-up (no spring-loaded check valves)
Use plastic fittings with Teflon paste; support all plumbing to prevent strain on the pump housing and fittings
Minimise elbows, valves, and restrictions on both intake and discharge — use adequate pipe diameter for the target flow rate
Always shut off electrical power before installation or servicing — ground the motor before connecting to power supply
Motor bearings are permanently lubricated — no routine lubrication required
Inspect mechanical seal periodically; replace every 3–4 years in fresh water; annually in salt water
Drain completely before freezing temperatures — freezing damage voids the warranty
